Most of us sit in office through a major part of the day and often tend to munchon unhealthy food to kill the boredom. Here’re some tips to ensure that you stay fit and healthy.
Go for fresh snacks: Snacking is an integral part of one’s daily diet plan, especially for working people. Therefore, the type and quantity of snack is important. Consuming foods that are fresh and at their natural best such as fruits and raw vegetables are the healthiest as they are not only low in calories but also more nutritious!
Protein snacking is better: When feeling hungry in office, instead of munching on unhealthy savouries like noodles, it is better to satiate your taste buds by eating protein snacks that are also filling and healthy such as roasted chana, three bean salad, dhokla, paneer chaat etc.
Go small: To keep unhealthy munching at bay, stack small serving packs at your workplace such as granola bars, small packets of almonds, soya nuts, baked biscuits etc.
Read the label: When purchasing a snack item, take into account the calories mention on the label. This should not be more than 100 calorie per serving. Drinking fluids is a good substitute for snacks.
Healthy snacks: Some healthy snack options are multigrain biscuits bhelpuri, three bean salad, steamed corn, popcorn etc
