Mountain Pose (Tadasana)
Tadaasana is one of the most basic yoga of all yoga postures. Tadasana helps to bring the body and mind in balance and alignment position.

Benefits of the Mountain Pose (Tadasana):
Practicing Tadasana with proper execution and continual along with other postures helps to re-train the body to stand correctly and reverse the negative effects of poor posture.
How to perform the Mountain Pose (Tadasana):
- Stand with both feet touching the floor, keeping the back straight and the arms pressed against the sides with palms facing inward.
- Slightly tighten the muscles of knees, thighs, stomach and hips while maintaining a firm posture while balancing your weight evenly on both feet.
- Breathe-in through the nostrils and lift your hips off the legs arching the back and thrusting abdomen forward and tilt the head as far back as possible.
Durations/Repetitions of the Mountain Pose (Tadasana):
Repeat atleast once for several minutes. This asana is also recommended prior to any other standing posture.
Difficulty Level and Advancement of the Mountain Pose (Tadasana):
Tadasana is a difficulty level 1 asana recommended for beginners.
