Great Hand Pose (Mahamudra Asana)
The Sanskrut word “Maha” means “great” and “Maha Mudra” means “great seal.” It employs all three bandhas, or energetic “locks”, or “seals”, in order to direct prana, or vital energy, in the body.

Mahamudra Asana (Great Hand Posture) cures consumption, hemorrhoids or piles, enlargement of spleen, indigestion, Gulma (chronic gastritis), leprosy, constipation, fever and all other diseases.
How to perform the Great Hand Pose (Mahamudra Asana):
- Start the asana with sitting on the left heel, placing the heel on the perinium.
- Now stretch your right leg forward and grab the big toe with your right hand.
- Pulling back on the toe, grab the heel with the left hand.
- Keeping the chin tucked into the chest and eyes fixed on the big toe, put some pressure on the third Eye.
- Breathe-in deeply and breathe-out and hold the breath out for 8 seconds keeping mul bhand and diaphragm lock tightly pulled.
- Breathe-in deeply and hold the asana for 3 minutes and then relax.

Hold the asana for 3 minutes while breathing-in deeply.
