Tossed Salad Recipe

Ingredients:
Lettuce: 1 head
Celery: 1/2 cup, chopped
Tomatoes: 2, quartered
Parsley: 1/3 cup, chopped
Carrot: 1/3 cup, grated
Shallots: 3 tsp, chopped

For Dressing:
Salt: 1/2 tsp
Fresh ground pepper: pinch
Dry mustard: 1/2 tsp
Olive oil: 3 tbsp
Vinegar: 3 tbsp
Garlic: 1 clove

Combine salt, pepper, mustard, oil, vinegar and crushed garlic in a screw topped jar

and shake well to blend the flavours.
Method:
1. Wash and drain lettuce and chill well.

2. Combine all the vegetables in a serving dish.

3. Remove the crushed garlic clove from the dressing and pour the dressing over the salad.

4. Toss well together and serve immediately.
