Flexitarian Diet
The word flexitarian comes from a combination of the words “flexible” and “vegetarian.” Following a flexitarian diet simply means eating more plant-based meals and less meat.
The Flexitarian Diet is created by registered dietitian Dawn Jackson Blatner. Being a flexitarian is a more flexible, more realistic way to be a vegetarian.
Benefits of the Flexitarian Diet
- Dieters will reduce the likelihood of diseases and cancers while following Flexitarian Diet.
- Following Flexitarian Diet the blood pressure, glucose, triglyceride, and cholesterol levels will plunge.
- Vegetarians live roughly 3.6 years longer than meat eaters – and one can reap those benefits simply by eating more plant-based meals, and less meat overall.
